Editorial policy

1. General Principles of Editorial Policy

The editorial policy of the journal «Economic Strategy and Prospects of Trade and Services Sector Development» is directed at ensuring the high quality of scholarly publications, transparency of editorial procedures, and compliance with international standards of academic integrity.

Editorial decisions are made independently of administrative, financial, or political influence and are based exclusively on the scholarly significance, relevance, and quality of submitted materials.

The editorial policy provides for the application of double-blind peer review, transparent editorial procedures, and adherence to the principles of publication ethics.

 

2. Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

The editorial board of the journal:

        ensures the organisation of objective and independent peer review of manuscripts;

        makes decisions on the publication of materials based on peer review outcomes;

        guarantees the confidentiality of submitted materials;

        ensures compliance with the principles of academic integrity;

        responds to identified violations of publication ethics in accordance with editorial policies;

        ensures transparency of editorial procedures and openness of information regarding editorial policy;

        reserves the right to reject a manuscript at any stage of consideration in the event of non-compliance with editorial requirements, insufficient scholarly quality, or violation of academic integrity.

 

3. Editorial Decisions

The final decision on the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the designated handling editor on the basis of reviewer findings, alignment with the thematic scope of the journal, and compliance with editorial requirements.

The following decisions may be made based on the review of a manuscript:

        accept for publication;

        accept after revision;

        send for re-review;

        reject.

 

4. Confidentiality

The editorial board ensures the confidentiality of information received during the manuscript review process and does not disclose it to third parties without appropriate grounds, except in cases provided for by editorial procedures or applicable legislation.

Manuscript materials are confidential and may not be used by reviewers or editorial board members in their own research without the authors' permission.

 

5. Conflict of Interest

Editorial board members, reviewers, and authors are required to disclose any potential conflict of interest. Upon its identification, the person concerned is excluded from participation in the editorial process.

 

6. Compliance with International Standards

The editorial policy is implemented in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the principles of open science.

The editorial board applies correction and retraction procedures in accordance with the journal's policies and takes the AI Policy into account when reviewing manuscripts.
